Sulur Park

        A park in Sulur in Natraj Park was in crying need for maintenance and upkeep. RAAC in partnership
with Propel decided to take up the challenge and Propel sanctioned a sum of Rs.24 lakhs for the
project. The project involved clearing the the entire park of bushes and weeds and the project took
off after that. The park was named Sulur Bio diversity park.

       A childrens play area, walkers path, volleyball court, exotic variety of plants and a selfie point was
planned.The project was executed with the help of various agencies and the park was inaugurated on
the 19th of September by the District collector Mr.Kranthi Kumar Pati, IAS and Mr.A.V.Varadharajan,
Chairman of M/s.Propel Industries and other distinguished dignitaries.
       The residents were thrilled when the park was inaugurated and the area was fenced, a walkers path
laid with paving blocks, a selfie spot formed, a children’s play area and a volleyball court for youth
were completed on time. The park has more than 300 varieties of exotic plants and is maintained by
Shivam’s Thulir and now many species of butterflies and small birds have found a new home. It is
indeed a big attraction in the area and a blessing for residents.
